When Game of Thrones Is Taking Over Your Life

You’re going to be getting a lot of Game of Thrones posts this week because this last season was probably my most favorite of all the seasons. A lot of things have popped off that I’ve been waiting ever so patiently to happen. I think about the show all the damn time. I talk about it all the damn time too. Especially at work.

I have a friend at work that constantly makes me laugh. He’s so witty and cheesy and just..the best. He makes me miss James and Chris only a little bit each day, instead of missing them a lot. His name is Danny. Danny is a huge Game of Thrones fan and every Monday, we would come into the office and spend about a half hour of the day just talking about all things Game of Thrones. It’s probably my favorite time of the day because Jon Snow! I get to talk about my main boo!

Danny and I work for an Environmental consulting firm and we (well Danny does) go out to different properties and do a whole lot of inspecting and researching. Danny’s job is to do historical research on properties. Are there any environmental risks associated with this property? If your property used to be a dry cleaners or a gas station in the past, odds are you’re going to have environmental risks. When there are risks associated with a property then the project manager will REC a site. Clients aren’t happy when a PM RECS a site because that means they’re going to have to spend money to fix whatever REC the PM requested. Some clients get mean. They bitch and moan. It’s not always fun.

Yesterday, before Danny and I could get our GoT talk on he sent me this text and I about died laughing.

Danny: When I REC a site:

LMAO LMAO LMAO. Freaking Danny.

LMAO! my GOT buddy left my unit so we had to text each other and it’s just not the same talking about it person. Especailly since she didn’t watch the finale until the next day. BLEH!

  2. Yeah, I know what you mean. Texting with James about the show isn’t nearly as much fun as watching him run through the office with his fake sword or going into mourning with him after the red wedding. LOL.
