It’s been a pretty hectic past couple of weeks for me so the blog has taken a back seat (are you guys surprised)? I haven’t really been able to get into a rhythm on my blog hops, commenting and just out and out blogging. I’m trying but I’m not as successful as I hoped I would be. I’m working on it though, I promise.
As for what I’ve been up to lately, basketball. Luke’s basketball season has started so on top of both Meghan and then Brenna and Kenna’s basketball schedules, I’ve added Luke’s to that too. So my weekends are weeknights are spent at the gym watching my kids play basketball. So far, everyone is playing well. Meghan couldn’t hit the side of a barn last week but she contributes in other ways when her shot isn’t falling. Brenna has found her shot and is shooting a lot more confidently these days and I’m glad for her. Makenna is just good. Like Meghan, she contributes in different ways every game and she’s always fun to watch but my favorite so far is Luke.
Luke is in his third season of basketball right now and he’s got so much confidence going into this season. He handles the ball well and he’s shooting a lot more and he’s going up for boards too. You can tell he’s going to have the very best parts of both of his sister’s game and I just know that he’s going to be fun to watch for many, many years to come. I can’t wait! Too bad his team sucks and they’re 0-2. First week, Luke’s team didn’t score any buckets so the score was like 25-0 and then last week, the final score was 2-15. We’re getting better and better every week. Yay.
Now…on to the books.

BRYNN
At thirty-four, I’m reeling from a divorce. I don’t want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn’s Dips and Balls.
But my friends aren’t having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I’m still taking a hard pass.
Free designer cocktails, they say. And that’s a game-changer.
Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That’s when I lose my mind. But when my besties dare me to leap on the first single man I see, they don't expect me to actually go through with it.
TOM
All I need right now is some peace and quiet while my home renovation TV show is on hiatus. But when a curvy woman in a red wrap dress charges me like she’s a gymnast about to mount my high bar, all I can do is brace myself and catch her. What follows is the hottest experience of my adult life.
I want a repeat, but my flying Cinderella disappears immediately afterward. She doesn’t leave a glass slipper, either—just a pair of panties with chocolate bunnies printed on them.
But I will find her.
This book has been on my kindle for a couple of months now and I kept meaning to read it but never got around to it. I’m so glad to finally be jumping in. I’ll be starting this today on my lunch break and I’m stoked.
What I Read

Beyond Scandal & Desire (Sins for All Seasons #1) by Lorraine Heath | 4.25 out of 5
About that Kiss (Heartbreaker Bay #5) by Jill Shalvis | 4 out of 5
Breaking the Ice (Juniper Falls #2) by Julie Cross | 4.75 out of 5
West Coast Love (Journey to the Heart #3) by Tif Marcelo | 3.5 out of 5
Love Between Enemies (Grad Night #2) by Molly E. Lee | 2 out of 5
The Trouble with True Love (Dear Lady Truelove #2) by Laura Lee Guhrke | 4.25 out of 5
My favorite reads of the last couple of weeks are Beyond Scandal & Desire by Lorraine Heath, Breaking the Ice by Julie Cross and The Trouble with True Love by Laura Lee Guhrke. All of those books are such enjoyable reads with fantastic characters and stories that you won’t be able to help yourself from falling in love with. So much goodness between those three books.
My least favorite read is Love Between Enemies by Molly E. Lee. The female protagonist in that book pissed me off from beginning to end and I wanted to strangle her for what she thought was okay and all of the shit that she pulled in this book. From accepting a scholarship that she didn’t need in the first place to her revenge plan. Ugh. Just freaking ugh.
