The Weekly Recap (122)

Posted February 18, 2019 by Rowena in Books, Features | 2 Comments

I didn’t do much this week outside of my usual but this weekend was jam packed full of activities. Chloe, Markus and Caiden came into town for the weekend to attend Meghan’s Senior Game on Saturday. Meghan’s basketball season is winding down and after she plays in her last basketball game of the season, she’s done with basketball for good. That makes me sad because I’ve been watching Meghan play basketball since she was in elementary school. She’s graduating from college in May and I’m not ready for all of that. Here’s a picture of Meghan’s support system throughout her basketball years. All of us crazy Wilson’s and the Peneueta’s from her Dad’s side. It was good to see everyone come out to support Meghan at her last home game and to show us how thankful Meghan is for us showing up, she put on a show for us. She ended the game with 26 points and a whole lot of other stats that I can’t remember right now but I was happy that she found the basket because she went 0 for like 5 from the three point line to start the game, haha. In more happy news, Chloe and Markus left Caiden with us for the week and will be coming back next weekend to pick him up but oh happy day for us. He does so well when he’s here with us, no crying for his Mom, no being a brat, just a happy baby with lots of kids to play with…and then his Mom gets back, haha. Now, onto the books…

Everybody’s talking about the hot new app reviewing New York’s most eligible bachelors. But why focus on prince charming when you can read the latest dirt on the lowest-ranked “Bad Bachelors”—NYC’s most notorious bad boys.

If one more person mentions Bad Bachelors to Reed McMahon, someone’s gonna get hurt. A PR whiz, Reed is known as an ‘image fixer’ but his womanizing ways have caught up with him. What he needs is a PR miracle of his own.

When Reed strolls into Darcy Greer’s workplace offering to help save the struggling library, she isn’t buying it. The prickly Brooklynite knows Reed is exactly the kind of guy she should avoid. But the library does need his help. As she reluctantly works with Reed, she realizes there’s more to a man than his reputation. Maybe, just maybe, Bad Bachelor #1 is THE one for her.

I think it was Nick that brought this book to my attention last year. I bought it last year when it came out and haven’t touched it so I got the third book for review so that I could actually get these books read and so far, it’s okay. I’m hopeful that the story will pick up soon as it’s still early days for me so fingers crossed.
