The Monthly Recap: July 2019

Posted August 8, 2019 by Rowena in Books | 8 Comments

Another month down and another shitty reading month in the books. Sigh. I really thought that things had kicked off for me on the reading front last month but meh, I found every other thing to do in the middle days of July that wasn’t reading and I did that instead. I did get to meet up with some book friends, I celebrated Holly’s birthday with her and I went to another Dodgers game and saw the firework show with them as well, haha. July was a good month, even if it wasn’t a good reading month.

Here’s what my month in books looked like…

  1. Even though you read 10 books, you read 10 good books! I’m glad you enjoyed Kate Clayborn’s book especially! 🙂
You liked The Prenup way more than me! I didn’t really care for it! 🙁

  2. Ten books in one month (and no DNFs) would be a good month for me! LOL Big, big love for The Others series. I read somewhere that Bishop has put the series on hold to work on other projects. Lame! I am crazy excited for Blitzed! I loved the first two books.

    • You know, I haven’t read anything else in The Others series yet. I need to fix that. I’m finally going to start reading Blitzed this weekend. I cannot wait!

  3. Look what a month you have had there darling. Hope you are having the BEST summer so far. Yeah it was a slow month for me as well but reading is getting back in gear this month so hopefully I am back on track.

And look at those books you got to….great ones for sure. I really liked Wolf Rain so much. And I can’t wait to get to Superfan though especially after seeing how much you rated it. 🙂

  4. I love the covers for Patricia Brigg’s Mery Thompson series but I tried book 1 and it wasn’t working for me! It’s been a while, though so maybe another try this year is in order!

I just started reading Nalini’s Psy-Changeling! OMG! So good! So many books to catch up!

    • Hey Zee!

It took me a long time to get into the Mercy Thompson books too but I’m glad I gave them another shot because I’m completely addicted to them now, even when they piss me off. Ha! So how far into the Psy-Changelings series are you? I love that series too!
