The Monthly Plan: September 2020

Posted August 26, 2020 by Rowena in Features | 4 Comments

I’m changing up my Monthly TBR Pile feature since I want to add the movies and shows that I plan on watching as well. From here on out, The Monthly Plan will feature all of the books, movies, and k dramas that I plan on watching each month. I’ve always been the kind of person that plans out the stuff that I’m going to read and watch and I’ll continue to track all of that stuff here.

So, here’s my battle plan for the month of September. I’m super excited about all of these and hope that I actually get around to reading the books listed below. Check it out.

Books to Read

Emerald Blaze by Ilona Andrews
Shine by Jessica Jung
Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao
The Perfect Rake by Annie Gracie
Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade

I’m in a three-month reading slump and I’m hoping and praying that September is the month that I kick the slump and get at least these five books read. Of all the books on my TBR Pile, these are the ones that I’m most interested in reading right now so wish me luck, yeah?

Movies to Watch

Miss Baek
A Company Man
The Table
The Wailing
Tune in for Love

I’ve had my eye on these five movies for a while now but I’m going to actually watch them in September. I’ve become a big fan of So Ji Sub, thanks to my friend B Nice and I’m making my way through his filmography so watching A Company Man is a must for me. I’m also a new fan of Jung Hae In so I’m definitely going to watch Tune in for Love since it stars him and my girl Kim Go Eun. Lots of great movies to look forward to in September.

Shows to Watch

Her Private Life
One Spring Night
My Shy Boss
Signal
Extracurricular

I’ve had these shows on my radar for the last few weeks and the more I think about it, the more I want to watch them. I haven’t seen anything with Park Min Young in it since What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim so I’m eager to dig into Her Private Life. And don’t mind if I do check out another one of Jung Hae In’s work in One Spring Night. Nick suggested Signal a little bit ago so I’m mighty interested in checking that one out and September is the month that I’ll finally get around to it.

There you have it, my plan for the month of September. What are some books, movies, and shows that you’re looking forward to? Share in the comments!

  1. Damn, you’re way more organised than I am. I have no plan for September for literally any watching or reading and probably should. Fingers crossed you get to the reading as i know you’ve had a lot of success with watching films and shows lately. I’m so excited about Spoiler Alert and have Rent a Boyfriend on my radar.

    • I like having a plan so I always make time to put these lists together. Fingers crossed that I get to those books as well. I’ve heard good things about Olivia Dade that I’m pretty anxious to try her stuff out myself.
