Hey everyone!
It was a quiet holiday season for me. I’m here in Las Vegas now, away from my family but with the way that things are going right now, it’s probably for the best. It hasn’t been an easy time lately with this pandemic and all of this political BS, it’s been tiresome. Brenna and my nephew RJ have been with us since before Christmas and they leave for L.A. tomorrow so I’m going to miss having them around. They’ll be back for a quick stop next week Sunday but she’ll be making her way back to Utah so after that visit, I won’t see her again until the last weekend in February for my niece’s wedding. My kid is truly a grown-up now. So am I, for that matter. I got a credit card for her for emergencies and I’ve never been able to do that for her before. We’re both grown-ups. LOL.
Anyway, I hope that everyone had a great holiday and that the pandemic isn’t kicking your asses too much.
Now, let’s get into all of the things that I did last week…
What I Watched

True Beauty | 4.25 out of 5
Run BTS | 5 out of 5
Run On | 3.5 out of 5
Naruto | 5 out of 5
All My Life | 2.5 out of 5
I’ve finally gotten a hold of my k-drama addiction. I’m not binge-watching shows that much these days and I’m watching the newer released k-dramas as they release weekly episodes. I’m watching True Beauty, Run BTS, Run On weekly but I’m binge-watching Naruto as well. I just got into Naruto right before the end of 2020 and I’m enjoying it so I’m watching it along with all of the other shows that I’m watching. I want to spank Naruto’s ass in every episode but I do really like the anime. The same can’t be said for Brenna’s movie pick for our New Year’s Eve, All My Life. That movie was super boring and I’m too old to pretend otherwise. It was a sad story for sure, even sadder because it’s based on a true story but the movie was boring to me. Ahh well.
What I Read

Twisted Creek by Jodi Thomas | 3.25 out of 5
The Bridge Kingdom (The Bridge Kingdom #1) by Danielle L. Jensen | 4.5 out of 5
I read two books in the last week. Woo hoo! My friend Holly recommended both of these books to me a while ago and Twisted Creek was a re-read for me. I enjoyed it but it was still a really slow read for me. The Bridge Kingdom, however, that book rocked my socks. I freaking loved it all. The suspense, the ill-fated romance, everything. So good!
What I Listened To

Dark and Wild by BTS
The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt.1
I’m still listening to all things BTS. I’m making my way through their albums from start to finish and I’m loving each and every single album. I’m so sad that I didn’t know about these guys until this year. I missed out on some great stuff. Thank goodness for Weverse, YouTube, and V-Live.
What Made Me Laugh
For those of you who are starting the new year with a new diet. Here are some dieting tips from Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung. 🙂

My week was great — just wasn’t looking forward to going back to work. Womp. Womp.
I rarely watched any tv shows/series during the holiday, except for when I was on the treadmill. I always watched anything that Anthony Bourdain hosted, so it was No Reservations and Layover for me. Oh! I did binge The Bridgertons like all the other Duke of Hastings THOTs out there. Lol.
I hope you’re having a great start to January, Rowena!
Are you back at work, like in the office or do you work remote? I work remote and I can’t imagine having to get up and go into the office anymore. I won’t do it. LOL.
LOL, I’m right there with you on the Duke of Hastings THOT fan club. He was such a FANTASTIC Simon. *swoon* I’m still mad as hell at Daphne though. Grrr.
I’m having a great January, Joy and I hope the same for you too!
This pandemic is wearing us all down, I’m happy you at least got to spend some time with your enphew.
I need to listen to this Jensen series!
Yes, I’m super glad that I was able to hang out with Brenna and my nephew RJ. They’re both a lot of fun.
I highly recommend the Bridge Kingdom series. I loved both the first and second book in the series and am waiting for the release of the next book. So good!
