Eye Candy Friday is something that I’ve been doing since I first started my personal blog way back in 2003. That first personal blog is long gone but I’ve never really grown out of the eye candy phase. I’m always up for some eye candy. Whether it’s a character from a book (male or female, I don’t discriminate), a character from a movie or TV Show, if I loved them and want to gush about how much I loved them, you’ll find them here. This week, I’m featuring Jung Hoseok, otherwise known as J Hope from BTS. I’ve cried my way through a bunch of BTS content but nobody in the group has made me cry as much as J Hope has. Hobi’s story melts me every time I hear it. It’s amazing to me that he can smile so big and be so many people’s hope considering everything he’s been through to get to where he is today. When the company and members surprised him for his birthday with videos from his parents and his family, seeing his reaction to it? I ugly cried through that. When those harsh hashtags came out, talking about his appearance and when he left the group but came back because JK cried? Man, it’s no wonder Army is as fierce in their protection over these guys because I don’t know how I would have been able to stand any of that. But J Hope got through it all and even though it can’t be easy for him, he wakes up every day and continues to be everyone’s hope. He’s always ready with a smile and a finger heart and I completely adore him for it. Not to mention the guy can dance his ass off. Gah, he’s such a great inspiration and that’s why he’s this week’s eye candy.
