This week was a busy week for me. My best friend and I decided on a spur of the moment movie binge of the Conjuring movies and though I could have finished it, my virtual BTS concert at 2:30AM my time on both Saturday and Sunday tapped me out for anything else. I still have the last two movies to watch in The Conjuring series (I started watching the movies by release date but then switched things up and continued the series chronologically) so what’s left for me is The Conjuring 2 and The Conjuring 3. I’ll get those watched this week. Because I spent most of my time watching those movies, my BTS concert, and getting some books read for my book club yesterday, I didn’t watch any of my Korean Dramas this week so I’ll catch up on that stuff this week as well.
Now, let’s get into all of the things that I did last week…
What I Watched

The Conjuring (2013) | 4.25 out of 5
Annabelle (2014) | 3.25 out of 5
The Nun (2018) | 3.5 out of 5
Annabelle Creation (2017) | 3.75 out of 5
Annabelle Comes Home (2019) | 4 out of 5
The Curse of La Llorona (2019) | 4.25 out of 5
I plan on reviewing these movies here on the blog (I know, right? Me watching Western movies? I’ve been getting into scary movies more and more lately.) so I’ll let you know here that my favorite movie of the bunch listed above is probably The Curse of La Llorona. My least favorite is probably the original Annabelle. Stay tuned for why.

When I tell you I will never miss another online concert from BTS, I mean it. June 13th is BTS’s birthday (the day they debuted as a band) and they always celebrate starting June 1st with lots of goodies (online content on their YouTube channel, on their Twitter, on Weverse, etc…) for Army to enjoy and then they end the festivities with a fan event, concert that are called Musters. This year’s Muster concert was the very first one that I watched Live and let me tell you, they slayed that entire two hours. They sang a bunch of older songs, some of their newer songs, and holy shit, some songs that I wasn’t expecting but jumped out of my seat and danced to.
I’m low key worried about the kind of Army I’m going to be at a live show because in the privacy of my home? I was hyped the hell up! Like, too hyped. It was fan-freaking-tastic and we got TWO NIGHTS of music from these guys. To say that Army is well fed by BTS is putting it mildly because we are spoiled.

Devil in Disguise (The Ravenels #7) by Lisa Kleypas | 4.5 out of 5

Song of the Week
If you watched the Sowoozoo BTS 2021 Muster concert this weekend, you know why this song is this week’s song of the week. Best performance of the weekend, hands down!
What I Got

Nothing to report this week. I wanted to pick up some more print books for my library but I couldn’t make up my mind on what books I had to have right away so I ended up not getting anything. Maybe this week will be a better week? Who knows.

What Made Me Laugh

I love your little Conjuring marathon! I recently watched the third one was disappointed.
I was disappointed with the third Conjuring too. I’m glad that I watched all of them though, it was a fun marathon!
HOLY CRAP. I can never! I watched Conjuring a few years ago and I had nightmare for days! You’re definitely braver than I could ever be. Lol.
I did have a weird dream the other night and I woke up just so that I can laugh at myself, haha.
Love horror films so I’m impressed you’re planning to watch them all. I intended to go watch the latest one but I think it’s already left the cinema here which is annoying. You’re also making me want to read some historical romance seeing what you’ve read. I’ve been in a more paranormal romance mood lately but that soon could change.
Becky!!! I hope you’re well and that things are going well for you in England!
I only read the historicals again because my book club gals were reading it all together and I didn’t want to feel left out, haha. I’m glad that I did read them though because it was a nice revisit. I’m surprised that I didn’t like Dain from Lord of Scoundrels as much this time around. This re-read was all about Jessica for me. She made that entire book!
I watched The Conjuring series for the same reason. My friends were talking about it and I got curious. I’m all about horror and scary movies these days.
It’s good though, sometimes a reread helps you see certain characters in new light and you get a whole new experience.
Well The Conjuring series is one of the better ones. I do love a good jump scare even if my overactive imagination has me turning on a few more lights on before I go to sleep… just in case.
I definitely got that experience reading Lord of Scoundrels this time around.
After watching Annabelle Comes Home, I scared myself good because I heard some noise coming from the kitchen and since it was dark, I was scared until I realized it was just our ice maker doing its thing. LOL. So now I call our ice maker Annabelle.
