This week was a quiet one here in Las Vegas. I didn’t do much outside of work, watch my kdramas, blog hop (I promise I’m reading everyone’s blog posts, I’m just not very chatty right now. Ugh, I need to get over myself already), and keep up with all things BTS.
I will say that work has been kicking my ass the last couple of weeks. I’m a regional staffing manager so as the jobs pour in, it’s my job to staff them. I have 24 hours to staff projects before they hit my naughty list and with how busy everyone’s been, my naughty list has been growing overwhelmingly long. I haven’t seen the bottom of my dashboard in weeks. I’m grateful that Brenna hasn’t seen an influx of work the way that I do because I wouldn’t want her to be as stressed as I am right now. Please pray for me!
Bren lives in Utah and this past weekend she was able to meet up with a bunch of my cousins that live in Utah and meet a lot of her cousins for the first time so that was nice. It was a family potluck and she had a good time so I’m glad. She even made plans to hang out with the family soon so that makes me happy. I’m glad that she’ll be forming friendships and solid relationships with family that we haven’t been all that close with in the past.
Now, let’s get into all of the things that I did last week…
What I Watched

I started Search because I thought I was in the mood for something on the darker side but after two episodes, I put it aside because I was wrong. I wasn’t in the mood for it so I put it aside. I’m not sure when I’ll pick it back up again but I haven’t dropped it so there’s that. I ended my week of kdrama watching by watching a movie with my guys Kang Ha Neul and Kim Woo Bin. *grin* They’re so stinkin’ fine!!
Thoughts on This Week’s Episodes

The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim: I knew that home dude was a shady motherfucker. I still wish that this show was longer than it is because I’m always left wanting more but this show is still really good and I’m still loving the hell out of Doo Shim and her partner in crime, Woo Soo. That Principal needs to go down!
Lovers of the Red Sky: I’m all caught up on this show and I am loving the hell out of it. I’m loving the chemistry between the two main leads and I’m loving how fiercely devoted to her survival that the female lead seems to be. This is still my favorite drama right now but Hometown Cha Cha Cha sure is giving this one a run for their money.
Hometown Cha Cha Cha: Would you believe that my dumbass almost DNF’d this show? City girl got on my damn nerves in the first two episodes so I was slow to watch the rest but I fixed that right up this week and am so glad that I did. I love this damn show! It’s so stinkin’ wholesome and is the perfect drama to start after finishing the greatness that was Racket Boys. I’m hella loving the small village folks and I hella love me some Chief Hong. I don’t want this show to ever end! I want to feel all the feels forever because that hug at the end??? GAH, I FREAKING LOVE THEM!
Lost: I’m not going to lie, I’m spending a whole lot of time watching this show confused af. What happened to the female lead to make her so depressed and just down on her luck? Are the main guys two best friends going to get together? I have so many questions and I’m a little frustrated that I’m not getting the answers that I want as quickly as I want them but I have to admit that despite all of the confusion, I’m invested in what’s going on. I’m invested in both of the main leads stories, I’m invested in the secondary stories and I’m really invested in finding out the truth behind what happened to the third best friend. I’m hooked.
Yumi’s Cells: My girl Kim Eun Go’s back at it with another drama and I’m really here for this show. Its got that Inside Out feel to it and I really enjoy her acting so I’m already hooked. I’m loving all of Yumi’s cells and I’m really loving seeing Choi Min Ho in a drama. I haven’t seen him in one since Hwarang and I never finished that show. Still, so far I’m really enjoying this show and I can’t wait for next week’s episodes.
Tomorrow with You: I started this show and am really enjoying it. I am really loving the hell out of Shin Min Ah in Hometown Cha Cha Cha (haha, after hating her in the first episode) and you guys already know that I love me some Lee Je Hoon so it was a no brainer for me to start this one while in between fresh episodes of all of the other shows I’m watching. I’m about 6 episodes in and I’m liking it a lot. I can’t wait to dig right back in. Lots of great stuff happening.
What I Streamed for BTS
I’m still going strong for this song because I adore it to pieces. I love the message behind, the choreography, and just the song in general. Such a great, feel good song.
Along with Permission to Dance, I’m still streaming the hell out of this song. I listen to it a lot in my earphones so my sister, who works right next to me won’t be annoyed that I can’t get over this song. I swear I’m Meg thee Stallion when her part comes on.
This song was where it all started for me becoming Army. I heard this song on TikTok right after I had learned all of the boys names and fell in absolute love with the song. I ain’t turned back since. This song is so freaking good.

I’m in the process of building my personal library and though it’s slow going, it’s really coming together. I purchased a bunch of print books to add to my shelves and I can’t wait to see my shelves all filled up with my favorite books since those are the books that I’m purchasing again. It’s been so long since I’ve purchased print books that I forgot all about the excitement I used to get when books were delivered. Now, if I could just start reading the damn books, I’ll be completely set. Wish me luck on that.

You’ve been pretty busy! I hope you get to recharge at some point
A couple more weeks and I’ll be able to relax and recharge with my family so I’m counting down the days. Thanks for stopping by!! 🙂
Reading about all the work you have makes me feel tired, but also makes me want to get caught up on my work to do list instead of blog hopping on my lunch! I hope you manage to get caught up on work soon because being stressed is not fun. And yay for getting more physical books, it is so nice seeing all those books arrive in the post. I love an ebook and being able to read at night on my Kindle but nothing quite like holding an actual book in your hands. I have all the Kate Daniels series as physical books (but Magic Triumphs is taller than the rest and it makes me sad every time I look at it). You also weren’t lying about having so many shows on the go, how do you keep track? I was going to start Hometown Cha Cha Cha but decided I’d wait for the episodes to be out because I do not have the patience to watch weekly.
Yeah, things at work haven’t slowed down for met yet and I’m just exhausted thinking about going back on Monday. I better enjoy the rest of my weekend to the fullest cause come Monday morning, I’ll be back in a bad mood. Ha! Thank goodness that Bren works with me. She’s a great sounding board and she always helps me figure things out when I’m stuck.
I have all of the Kate Daniels books in print now too. I’m only missing Hugh’s book to complete my entire collection of the Kate Daniels world books and can I just say that Blood Heir is such a weird sized book? It’s smaller than a tradeback but bigger than a mmp. So weird.
Ooh, I definitely vote for Hometown Cha Cha Cha. That show is a smalltown romance and I like it so much.
