After two months of trying to lock down a phone interview with unemployment so that I can get those benefits rolling, I finally had that appointment on Friday and getting closer to not having to stress out about how to pay my bills while I apply and find the right fit for me, employment wise has been such a relief. Also, this post is coming two days late because your girl has been busy.
I’ve been on the move in January. I flew into Salt Lake for my niece Chay Chay’s baby shower and then from SLC, I flew to L.A. for my uncles funeral and ended up staying the week to attend another funeral of an Aunt that I wasn’t familiar with. I got home on Sunday and I had a project that I was busy with but I’m finally done with that and today was for organizing myself for the coming weeks and for looking into some things that are coming my way. I’m a lot more hopeful today than I’ve been for the last couple of weeks so I’m glad that things are starting to come together (fingers crossed).
I haven’t been watching as much TV as I normally do, being on the move does that to me but here’s what I’ve finished and am watching since the last weekly recap that I posted, sheesh, since the first of January.
What I Watched

Would You Like a Cup of Coffee? | 3.5 out of 5
Alchemy of Souls 2: Light and Shadow | 4.5 out of 5
Unlock the Boss | 3.5 out of 5
Island, Season 1 | 3.5 out of 5
Singles Inferno 2 | 3.5 out of 5
The Forbidden Marriage | 4 out of 5
I enjoyed all of these shows but was really only sad that Alchemy of Souls 2 ended. That show was everything I wanted it to be and my characters got the ending that I wanted as well and even though I didn’t get everything that I wanted (I wanted an epic fight between Naksu and JinMu), I still loved the hell out of the show and the actors and actresses. I miss this show so much that I’m STILL texting Tita every week to make sure she doesn’t forget how much I miss Jang Uk, haha.

The Interest of Love: This show stresses me out but for the life of me, I cannot stop watching. Every single character is on my last nerve though I understand what is motivating them to act the way that they do. This isn’t one of those feel good dramas and I don’t have a good feeling about where everything is heading but I’m hoping that with all the gloom and doom going on right now that there will be brighter days ahead…there are only four episodes left so everyone cross your fingers for me, kay?
Strangers Again: I started this show with high hopes since I enjoyed both of the main leads in all of the shows that I’ve watched them in but I’m not sure if I’ll last with this one since the FL is on my last nerve and I’m not quite sure how much I like the ML. I guess I’ll keep going until I figure that out. The first four episodes were hmmm, not sure what I think of them. I don’t hate the show but I don’t exactly love it right now either.
Alice in Borderland: This is my first Japanese drama. The only things that I watch in Japanese are animes and I haven’t watched an anime in a long ass time. I’m on season 2 and it’s crazy as hell, a lot goryer (is that a word?) than I thought but I’m enjoying it. I had an attitude in the first season when my favorite character died so early into the story but I’m over it now and I’m glad that I continued on.
Trolley: I’ve only watched one episode of this one so far but I have every intention of finishing it out, so far, I’m interested in it. I just need to make the time for it.

Eye Candy Friday

Yay for finally sorting the unemployment interview, no one needs the stress of looking for a job that fits whilst also questioning how they’ll pay their bills. It’s how you end up with a job you hate. Sounds like a busy January, I bet you’re glad to get back home to your own bed. You still managed to watch more TV than me though. All I can say I’ve watched lately is Our Flag Means Death and a very slow watch through of Yellowstone and the prequel shows.
Yeah, it’s been a pretty exhausting process but my friends and my sisters have not let me stop trying. I am to be militant about unemployment so that I’m not stressed about money during this weird time. I’m really loving being home again and in my own space so yeah, that’s been pretty great.
What season of Yellowstone are you on? I’ve been hearing so many good things about that show but I only managed to get through one season.
