Fully Ignited (Boston Fire #2) by Shannon Stacey.
When Jamie Rutherford takes a temporary assignment as lieutenant of Boston Fire’s Engine 59, she doesn’t anticipate any problems. She’s been in the fire service for a long time and, even though she’s fairly new to Boston, she knows how to make any firehouse her home. What she’s not prepared for is her reaction to firefighter Scott Kincaid.
Scott is looking for a wife. It’s been a fun ride as a single guy, but he’s tired of being the third wheel, and nearly losing his brother-in-law finally made him realize just how much he wants a family of his own. When the new guy at the firehouse turns out to be a capable, confident and very attractive woman, his plan is completely derailed.
Hooking up with a fellow firefighter has never been part of Jamie’s plan, but she’s tempted by Scott—even though getting involved with him could tarnish the reputation she’s worked so hard for. And Scott can’t stop thinking about Jamie, despite the fact that she’s his superior and not sticking around. Chemistry can crush the best-laid plans, though, and while Jamie and Scott might not be each other’s future…there’s no resisting the right now.
I’m back on the reviewing train, reading some review books because I got caught up in my TBR pile and the Alpha & Omega series. It’s Scotty Kincaid time. Woot!

I enjoyed both books that I read this week. This series is shaping up to be a real winner for me. Thank goodness for the 5 Books Everyone Should Read Challenge. I wouldn’t have read these book if not for that challenge kicking me in the ass. I’m loving Charles and Anna!

So a couple of weeks ago, Nalini Singh (of Psy/Changelings series fame) made an announcement through her newsletter and I haven’t been able to stop celebrating ever since.
Here’s the announcement:
“So, I planned only to write about these rock stars… then along came some rugby players. It looks like my next contemporaries will feature Gabriel Bishop’s brothers, those gorgeous rugby players you met in Rock Hard.”
This has been what I looked like ever since the announcement:
I read Rock Hard early last year and immediately wanted books for Gabriel’s family. I’m Samoan so I will always gravitate toward romances featuring Polynesian characters…and we’re finally getting it! I’m super thrilled because this is who I had in my head when we met Gabriel’s family in Rock Hard.
Sonny B. Williams. He’s a rugby player and he’s Polynesian so *swoon* he’s it. He’s who I’m casting as Gabe’s brother and that is only a small portion of why he’s this week’s Man Crush Monday. His striking good looks takes care of all the other reasons he was chosen for this week’s MCM dude.

Lots of things to catch up on but this week’s Friday Five are very random things on my brain right now. Brenna and Cheridan are Pioneer League Champs again.
Last night was the last League game and North played against South. I didn’t attend this game because let’s be real here…it wasn’t going to be an exciting game. I knew that they were going to win this game and they did…61-46. Congratulations to the North High Girls Basketball Team for going 20-0 in League play for the last two seasons. GO SAXONS!
Makenna is a Bay League Champ again.
This was the game that I went to last night. It was rivals night and we were the visiting team. For some reason, it’s always a hard battle when Redondo plays Costa. Maybe it’s the rivalry at play or something because this game could have gone either way throughout the entire game. Redondo was down by 10 late in the game and I was nervous as shit but during gut check time, Redondo pulled it together and got that W that clinched the League Championship for them. Ken played well and made my night when she walked out of the gym, flipping Costa off. She hates that school just as much as I do so this win was freaking fantastic!
 Gilmore Girls Reunion.
Gilmore Girls Reunion show is a go and most all of Rory’s ex-boyfriends are on board to return. This makes me so freaking excited! Team Logan…seriously.
 Rugby 7’s Tournament in Vegas.
I have made plans to go to Vegas this year for the 7’s Rugby Tournament and this is the main reason why:
I can’t wait!
 Lakers New Coach Rumors.
I’m hearing a bunch of rumors and theories on where the Lakers coaching for next year is going and I’m so ready for a coaching change. As much as I loved Byron Scott as a player, I don’t love him so much as a coach. I don’t think he has the right pieces to run the game that he wants to run and because he won’t run the kind of offense and defense fit for the team he has, we suck. On the other hand, if Luke were to come here and run the same kind of game that he ran with Golden State, I think we’d have better success but we have a lot of young players so would he be able to lead and guide and grow these kids? I don’t know that I have that kind of faith in him…but whatever changes next year, I hope it’s the coach and not the team. I hope we keep our core players. I’m high key tired of losing.
Until next week…have a great weekend guys!
