Eye Candy Friday is something that I’ve been doing since I first started my personal blog way back in 2003. That first personal blog is long gone but I’ve never really grown out of the eye candy phase. I’m always up for some eye candy. Whether it’s a character from a book (male or female, I don’t discriminate), a character from a movie or TV Show, if I loved them and want to gush about how much I loved them, you’ll find them here. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
This week, I’m featuring Park Hyung Sik as An Min Hyuk in Strong Woman, Do Bong Soon. Honestly guys, get you a man that loves you the way that An Min Hyuk loves Do Bong Soon. The way that he was all in from the jump, had me all giggly like a school girl because I just adored seeing him adore Bo Song the way that he did. He really went through it too because when he falls for Bong Soon, she’s in love with her childhood friend and has no time for Min Hyuk and his feelings…but seeing him sway her to his side was a whole lot of fun for me.
The scene in this last picture had me bawling like a baby because it’s just the sweetest scene and I was so ready for him to finally speak his truth to her. No more waiting for her to figure herself out, no more holding his tongue and hoping things will go his way. He went in and in the sweetest way possible, asked her to love him. Gah, I was a puddle of emotions and that and so many other reasons is why he’s this week’s Eye Candy Friday. If you haven’t met this hunk of gorgeous male, you should check out Strong Woman, Do Bong Soon. It’s a good one.

This week, I’m featuring Ji Chang Wook as Noh Ji Wook from the Korean drama, Suspicious Partner. I just adored him so much in this show. On top of being a really good looking guy, Ji Chang Wook really brought Noh Ji Wook to life and I was here for it all. I loved the way that he took care of Eun Bong Hee. I loved that he never compromised his beliefs, he always marched to his own tune, no matter how unpopular it was. He wasn’t perfect but where it counted, he was the best and that’s why he’s this week’s Eye Candy Friday.

This week, I’m featuring Park Seo Jun as Ko Dong Man from Fight for My Way. Itaewon Class is my top Korean show but Ko Dong Man is probably my favorite character that Park Seo Jun has played so far. He plays the charming, lovable airhead role so well and Dong Man was my absolute favorite part of this show. His character would have charmed me right out of my pants. The way that he cared and supported Ae Ra through every little part of her life and just wanted her to love and support him back was just too precious for words. That’s a huge part of why he’s this week’s Eye Candy Friday. The other part of the reason is that he’s just so stinkin’ good looking.
Here are some pictures from my favorite Dong Man scenes from Fight for My Way, for you to enjoy. Check it out.
In this scene, he’s giving his best friend, Ae Ra, privacy to cry because she just received some bad news and he knows she hates crying in front of people. *swoon*
In this scene, he just lost his temper and beat the crap out of some guys because they were messing with Ae Ra and were trying to rough her up because she lost her temper on them. He went to jail and she defended him so fiercely in there that she made him cry and he’s hugging her to show his thanks and to cry without her seeing.
Dong Man used to be a mixed martial arts guy but gave it up after some family drama. After he stopped fighting, he worked stupid job after stupid job and just wasn’t satisfied with anything until he finally wises up and decides to live the rest of his twenties for passion. So he starts fighting again and this scene is directly after his first fight back. His ex-girlfriend all of a sudden wants to be with him again and you didn’t know which way he would turn until this scene. The first person that he wants to see after his very first fight is his best friend, Ae Ra…who is crying because she hates seeing him get hurt and so she went to support him at his first fight but couldn’t bear to watch it so she prayed with her eyes tightly shut for him not to get hurt and this is him going to her afterward to reassure her that he’s okay. And that he won.
And this scene had me cracking up. Dong Man and Ae Ra are out eating dinner and Ae Ra starts whining in her little baby voice that is supposed to be cute and get Dong Man to do whatever she wants but instead he answers her in the exact same whiny voice and pisses her off instead. LOL.
This scene is my favorite confession scene. He wasn’t messing around anymore and he was faithful to Ae Ra, even before they were actually dating. If you’re in the mood for a fun and charming best friends to more drama, you should check this one out.

This week, I’m featuring Park Hyung Sik as Go Yeon Woo from the Korean Drama, Suits. I was an avid watcher of the American Suits so when I found out that Park Hyung Sik, who I am extremely fond of, plays the Mike Ross character for the Korean Drama, I was sold. I had to find it and I had to watch it and boy am I oh so glad that I did. I completely adored the American Mike Ross. His character was pretty damn awesome and I just really, really loved him but my love for American Mike Ross doesn’t hold a candle to my love for Korean Mike Ross. Sure, I love them both but I think I love Korean Mike Ross a smidge more because I don’t remember ugly crying in the American Suits as much as I did in the Korean one. And Park Hyung Sik’s portrayal of the character was a huge reason. He was just…the best and that is why he is this week’s Eye Candy Friday.
