I’m a list person. I have a list for every single thing in my life from a to-do list, a list of books that I want to read, a running shopping list, and in the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing different k-entertainment lists that I’ve been keeping track of. You’ll be seeing my top 5 lists of stuff like my current celebrity crushes, my favorite k-drama female protagonists, my favorite k-drama male protagonists, my to-be-watched k-dramas, and you know, stuff like that.
This week’s Wednesday Five will feature five K-Movies I Love. I’ve watched quite a few Korean Movies and the movies listed below are my favorite of the bunch.
Where to Watch: Viki
Starring: Park Seo Joon, Kang Ha Neul, Sung Dong Il
This movie was hilarious as hell. Like, I really, really loved this movie. I laughed out loud so much that I watched it three more times in the same week. I just couldn’t get enough of it and just thinking about it now brings a smile to my face so if you are in the mood for something fun, definitely give this one a shot.
Where to Watch: Viki
Starring: Kim Woo Bin, Lee Jun Ho, Kang Ha Neul
This is another fantastic comedy that had me dying the entire time that I was watching it. I laughed from the moment it started to the very last scene. There is much to love about this movie and the friendship between the three main leads was just fantastic. So much love this for this movie.
Where to Watch: Amazon Prime
Starring: Kim Tae Ri, Ryu Joon Yeol, Jin Ki Joo
I watched this movie just a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. The movie itself moves at a slow pace but I enjoyed that about the movie. Kim Taeri leads this movie and her character was interesting to me. You can tell that she’s going through something and returns to her hometown to heal and seeing her journey from the lost girl she was when she returned and seeing her figure her shit out day by day was a nice, enjoyable watch and it brought me a lot of comfort with all of the shit up in the air in my own personal life right now.
Where to Watch: Viki
Starring: Gong Yoo, Park Bo Gum, Jo Woo Jin
Two of my faves head up this movie and I enjoyed the heck out of the entire thing. I’ve watched this one a couple of times because it was just a good watch. I liked seeing both Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum on the screen together and the story was just one that was easy to fall into and I liked it so much.
Where to Watch: Netflix
Starring: Gong Yoo, Jung Yu Mi, Kim Hyun Soo
I wouldn’t say that this was a movie that I absolutely loved because of how dark it is but it was a compelling movie. It was a movie that broke my heart and made me so angry but I was glad that I watched it and it’s one that I recommend everyone to check out.
what are some of your favorite k-movies?

Happy Monday, Everyone!
I took last week off from updating because I was busy applying any and everywhere. I also spent most of the week learning my sister’s job so that I can help her and maybe be hired by her company? Not sure yet but my sister sure wants that to happen so I’ve been knee-deep in real estate forms and learning her systems and I’m not sure if anything will come of it but if anything, it’s been interesting to learn so even if nothing comes of this, I’m not mad about it.
I’ve been watching all of the things, I’m reading again, and trying to balance everything has been a lot of fun. Gah, I’m such a nerd.
Anyway…let’s get into all of the things that I consumed the last two weeks…
What I Watched
When the Weather’s Fine | 3.5 out of 5
Fan Letter, Please | 4 out of 5
Wednesday | 4 out of 5
I’ve watched these three shows in full and enjoyed all of them. Of the three, I think my favorite is a tie between Fan Letter, Please and Wednesday. Wednesday is my favorite. She’s the best.
May I Help You?: WE GOT A KISS! AND TAE HEE STOPPED BEING A BONEHEAD! This week’s episodes were so good! They were good, emotional, and ended on a high! I’m still loving this show hella and it’s still my favorite show that I’m watching and I’m not ready to let these characters go. So much love for these!
Behind Every Star: I can’t say that I’m completely invested in this drama but I will say that I really mess with Jane. She’s my favorite part of this show right now. I like everything about her story. I love her struggles, her position in the company, and seeing her in action. Seeing her try and fail to land Denver from Money Heist as a client was pretty great. I enjoyed the last episode and Denver was the first actor that really interested me and I liked the way that he played himself. Yeah, I like this one and I’mma keep watching it…even if it’s just for Jane.
Revenge of Others: This show is still dark and it’s still whoa but I’m still watching it because I need to know who the hell killed her brother and I’m very interested in seeing where Soo Heon’s issues play out. I’m glad that Chan Mi is over suspecting Soo Heon and I’m liking that she’s finally winning over people and making friends. I still want to spank the shit out of Gi O Sung and Kook Ji Hyun. And Jae Bum? I need to know about him. Is he bad or good?
The First Responders: I’m still rocking with this show. I have enjoyed every single episode that I watched and this week’s episodes were no exception. The cases, the characters, the comraderie, all of it is great.
Reborn Rich: I’ve watched every episode of this show so far and I don’t think I’m enjoying this as much as everyone else is. I started this show because of the hype that surrounded the release. While I do think the premise is interesting, each episode spends a lot of time on shit that I do not care about. I just…don’t know if I’m going to finish this one but I’ll give it one more week to figure out for sure.
Summer Strike: This is another one that I wanted to watch because I’ve seen loads of people on social media enjoying it and I’m just…not there yet. I’ll give this one another week before I make a decision on whether or not to drop it. I’ve been watching a lot of going to smalltowns to heal and figure your life out dramas and movies and I’ve enjoyed those more than I’m enjoying this one. So..hmm.
Extraordinary You: I am obsessed with Lee Jae Wook and have been slowly making my way through his back list of dramas and this one is up. I’ve only watched 3 episodes so far and while I am curious about him, the female lead talks too much for my liking and I find myself wanting to skip all of her parts but shes in like every other minute of every episode so I’ll probably need to watch this in batches.

Eye Candy Friday is something that I’ve been doing since I first started my personal blog way back in 2003. That first personal blog is long gone but I’ve never really grown out of the eye candy phase. I’m always up for some eye candy. Whether it’s a character from a book (male or female, I don’t discriminate), a character from a movie or TV Show, if I loved them and want to gush about how much I loved them, you’ll find them here. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
This week, I’m featuring Park Ki Joon from Midnight Runners. The acting duo of Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul is one that I didn’t know I needed until this movie. Park Ki Joon is the highlight of the movie for me. On top of being fine as hell, he was so much fun, so enthusiastic, and just an all-around good time. That’s why he’s this week’s eye candy.
If you haven’t watched this movie, please fix that ASAP. This movie is one of those movies that I watch when I’m feeling down because it never fails to put me in a good mood.
Watch Midnight Runners
My Drama List | Viki
Starring: Park Seo Joon, Kang Ha Neul, Sung Dong Il
Year Released: 2017
Genre: Comedy, Crime, Action
Ki-joon and Hee-yeol become best friends at the police academy. During their outing, they witness a kidnapping incident and report it to the police right away. However, because of the lack of evidence, the investigation doesn’t progress while precious time is being wasted. Ki-joon and Hee-yeol decide to take the investigation into their own hands. The only problem is they have zero experience.
Until next week…enjoy!
