This weeks topic is: Inaccurate Book Covers
Those books that have nothing to do with the story, or the cover model doesn’t look anything like the actual main character, or it’s a really cheesy cover for a great read!
This week’s topic was a lot harder for me to put together because my memory is crap. I’d have to look thorugh notes or look at book covers to jog my memory so to come up with five innacurate book covers (and I knew that I had books to add, I just couldn’t remember which books) was hard work but I did it.
Here are this week’s picks:

1. The Billionaire Next Door (Billionaire Bad Boys #2) by Jessica Lemmon.
Can’t Buy Me Love
It’s Tag Crane’s job to be the life of the party. Traveling from one exotic locale to another is just part of running the luxurious Crane Hotel empire. But even paradise isn’t perfect. Devising a new business strategy is keeping Tag up at night-and so is the Great Dane barking at all hours in the apartment below his. To muzzle the problem, Tag charges downstairs . . . right into the most beautiful, blond distraction he’s ever seen.
Dog-sitting by day, bartending by night. It’s not exactly the life Rachel Foster dreamed of. But when Tag Crane rushes in, all mountain-man shoulders and obscenely sexy smile, needing her help for the Crane Hotels, it’s a fantasy come true. What’s the harm in a fun no-strings fling? Only a fool would give her heart to a billionaire player like Tag-until suddenly the one man who can’t be caught is the one flirting with forever . . .
The inaccuracy for this book isn’t the cover because that is totally Tag Crane, perfect specimen that he is but the title is wrong. It’s wrong because Tag wasn’t the Billionaire Next Door, he was the Billionaire Upstairs. Sure, it’s such a small thing to notice and The Billionaire Next Door does make a great title but it’s still inaccurate. Not that you guys should keep that from reading the book. The book was cute and fun and I loved it.

2. North of Beautiful by Justina Chen.
As he continued to stare, I wanted to point to my cheek and remind him, But you were the one who wanted this, remember? You’re the one who asked-and I repeat-Why not fix your face?
It’s hard not to notice Terra Cooper.
She’s tall, blond, and has an enviable body. But with one turn of her cheek, all people notice is her unmistakably “flawed” face. Terra secretly plans to leave her stifling small town in the Northwest and escape to an East Coast college, but gets pushed off-course by her controlling father. When an unexpected collision puts Terra directly in Jacob’s path, the handsome but quirky Goth boy immediately challenges her assumptions about herself and her life, and she is forced in yet another direction. With her carefully laid plans disrupted, will Terra be able to find her true path?
Written in lively, artful prose, award-winning author Justina Chen Headley has woven together a powerful novel about a fractured family, falling in love, travel, and the meaning of true beauty.
This book spent the majority of the story fixated on Terra’s flawed face. She has a port wine birthmark that takes up the entire left side of her face. I don’t see a birthmark or any flaws for that matter on the entire left side of her face. Do you?

3. Get Lucky (Tall, Dark & Dangerous #9) by Suzanne Brockmann.
LUCKY…IN LOVE?
An unlikely state of affairs. For Navy SEAL Lucky O’Donlon was the original love-’em-and-leave-’em guy. Used to women swooning at his feet. So how could it be that the frustratingly attractive journalist Sydney Jameson had nothing to offer him but one very cold shoulder?
Well, two could play at this game. But first things first–he and Sydney had a job to do. They had to get their man.
Then there would be time enough for him to get his woman….
When I was reading this series, I couldn’t wait for Lucky’s book. Lucky is the heart throb of Seal Team Ten. He was Beautiful Lucky, the guy that could get all of the women. He had women swooning at his feet for crying out loud and then I finally got to his book and got a good look at the cover and I’m sorry but that guy doesn’t scream heart throb to me. He’s not what I pictured Lucky to look like…at all. So yeah, inaccurate as a mo fo.

4. Midnight Rescue (Killer Instinct #1) by Elle Kennedy.
Dangerous. Ruthless. Savage. And she’s the good guy.
Abby Sinclair had a desperate childhood until she was rescued and adopted by a retired army ranger who molded her into a master of self-defense. Now, she’s a cunning and fearless assassin thrust into assignment after dangerous assignment, using everything she has-nerve, resilience, strength, sex-to come out on top. Her only rule: trust no one.
Abby’s latest assignment is in Columbia: go undercover and snuff out a dangerous arms dealer active in the underground sex trade. But when Abby purposely blows her cover in a last-ditch attempt to free the helpless victims, deadly mercenary Kane Woodland is recruited as back-up. His mission: get Abby out of that hell hole.
The last thing Kane expects is to feel a primal attraction for Abby. But when she convinces him to join her on her perilous mission, their newfound passion could put the lives of their whole team at risk.
I really like this series. There’s lot of action, stuff being blown up, gun fire and steamy romances. This book in particular starts the series off right but my only complaint is that Abby Sinclair was a red head when we first meet her and she was a red head when she comes to the compound where she meets everyone else on Morgans Team of Assassins (where she meets her man Kane) so…who the heck is the blonde?

5. Echoes of Scotland Street (On Dublin Street #5) by Samantha Young.
Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wakeup call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, she’s sworn off men—especially those of the bad-boy variety.
Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoid—gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man who’s ready to find “the one.” He’s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude and win her heart.
As Shannon opens up in the face of Cole’s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannon’s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between them—and tear them apart for good…
When we first meet Cole in the On Dublin Street series, he’s a young teenager. He’s Jo’s kid brother that she protects from their mean ass Mom. Yeah, he grows up with each passing book and by the time his book comes out, he’s grown. Not that grown though. That guy on the cover is a lot older than I pictured Cole to be and where are his tattoos? Cole’s got tattoos all over the place but the guy on the cover doesn’t look he has any. Smells inaccurate to me.
Are there any inaccurate book covers that I missed? Any book covers that are just..wrong?
