Happy Monday! I took last week off without realizing I was going to take it off because I was traveling and spending time with my best friend but also with my family. I had a great time, had some not so great times, and I’m back home and ready to get back to my regular degular life.

I first traveled to Utah for a funeral on my Dad’s side, my niece’s gender reveal party, and a farewell dinner for my nephew who reports to the Army boot camp this week. Yep, lots of people I love are getting ready to enlist in the military, haha. My niece Chaylene, and her husband Isaiah, are having a baby girl and I’m thrilled for them even though I was hoping for a baby boy. Our family has a lot of women. We need some men to even things out a bit. Chaylene is so extra too but I loved it. She recreated the dinner party in her favorite movie, Coraline, and not a detail was missed. I felt bad for her because after we got everything set up exactly to her liking, the Utah wind decided to act up that day and blew all of our hard work away. We didn’t even get to take pictures of it and I had the hardest job. I had to make a fireplace that was sturdy enough to hold the desserts and gender reveal chocolates. And I had to make it out of cardboard boxes! It took me most of the day to get it figured out but once I finally did, it came out great and a huge part of that is thanks to Isaiah’s sister, Chalet. She’s a great painter and she brought our fireplace to life in the most spectacular way. It was so pretty.

Last Sunday, after we had dinner for my nephew Chance, who leaves for bootcamp today, I flew to L.A. with my Dad. I spent the week in L.A. before returning home to Vegas yesterday. While in L.A. I attended my niece Meghan’s Recognition Night at her old school for holding the record in Women’s Basketball for every single record. Meg really is the best. But now, I’m home. My introverted ass is super glad to be home too. I’m glad to have all of my things around me again and to sleep in my own bed for the first time in over a week.

Now, let’s get into all of the things that I did last week…

What I Watched

The Law Cafe: I’m all caught up on this show and the last four episodes were a lot better than the previous four episodes and I’m glad that I kept going. I really like the dynamic between the team members. I love how they each bring something different to each case and I really like seeing them all work together to defend those that can’t defend themselves against the rich people. I can’t believe this series is already ending this week. What a ride it’s been.

Young Actor’s Retreat: I need to watch more variety shows. I’m thoroughly enjoying this show. I loved seeing the poor guys being ejected from their seats into the pool, while it was pouring rain and everyone laughing their asses off.

Love in Contract: Things are definitely light and fun in this one and I’m really enjoying it. I like the three main leads and though I feel bad for the second lead and wouldn’t be mad if he got the girl, I’m really rooting for the first main lead. I adore him in this one.

Gaus Electronics: This show is warming up to me. I didn’t care for the first episode because I detest bullying but I’m glad that I stuck it out because this has been a surprising delight for me each week.
