The Weekly Recap (2)

Posted July 31, 2026 by Rowena in Features | 0 Comments

The Weekly Recap is a recap of my previous week in all the things. You’ll see what I read, what I watched, and if I loved or hated them here. Each week will look different but everything I’m loving and everything I’m hating will definitely be here.

Here’s what my week looked like…

What I Read

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews | 4 out of 5
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros | 4.5 out of 5
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren | 2 out of 5
The Romance Revival by Christina Lauren | 3 out of 5
Miranda in Retrograde by Lauren Layne | 3 out of 5

What I Watched

Agent Kim Reactivated: I’m all done and it was a wild ride. It wasn’t perfect but So Ji Sub can make even the most problematic scenes not a big deal to me. Sigh. This was an enjoyable drama and I’m so glad that I watched it.

See You at Work Tomorrow!: The pacing for this show is on the slower side but I’m not mad about it. I do adore both of the romances. I think I like the noona romance more but still, this is one of those shows that I always forget is good until I’m watching it.

Dream to You: The last two episodes were pretty meh. I hope it gets better because I haven’t not liked any of the shows that I’ve watched with these two main leads.

Spooky in Love: First two episodes were interesting enough that I’ll continue watching…for now.

The Weekly Recap (1)

The Weekly Recap is a recap of my previous week in all the things. You’ll see what I read, what I watched, and if I loved or hated them here. Each week will look different but everything I’m loving and everything I’m hating will definitely be here.

Here’s what my week looked like…

What I Read

The Right Way by Liz Tomforde | 5 out of 5
Caught Up by Liz Tomforde | 4.5 out of 5
Play Along by Liz Tomforde | 5 out of 5
Rewind it Back by Liz Tomforde | 5 out of 5
In Her Own League by Liz Tomforde | 3 out of 5

What I Watched

Agent Kim Reactivated: This week’s episodes were just as action packed as the last two were and I am here for it all. I’m glad to see that Minji is okay and I’m hoping that her appa will find her and be quick about it because homegirl is going through it. I’m glad that Agent Kim knows that she’s alive because the urgency just amped up even more so he knows that he has to race against the clock to get her back and avenge her. I can’t wait for the big show down between him and the stupid rich girl bully that hit Minji with a brick. Well, her villainous dad. This is my favorite drama that I’m watching right now. Its done well.

I Will Find You: I finished this show over the weekend and it was good. I started it because I like Sam Worthington but as soon as Jesse from Gilmore Girls showed up, I was even more interested. The mystery behind who the kidnapper was what hooked me in but when all was said and done, the big reveal was a bit of a let down. I mean, it wasn’t bad but it was just…that’s it? Still, the show was good overall so I’m not too mad about it.

Notes from the Last Row: I gave this show 3 episodes and after 3 episodes, I just didn’t care what was going on so I’m dropping it. There are too many books to read and other shows to watch to waste my time trying to drum up some enthusiasm to finish a show.

See You at Work Tomorrow!: I’m enjoying this show. It’s a different kind of storytelling from Agent Kim Reactivated and I’m digging the differences between the two shows. This is a romance told in a much slower pace but the characters are interesting. The secondary romance just got a lot more interesting so I’m curious about where that will go and I’m glad that she let the musician go because she gotta get closer to the main lead.
